September 21, 201014 yr Can anyone tell me the easiest way to get from the airport to the auction venue? i don't drive so a rental car is an non event..and of they have anything in place to transport birds for interstate buyers? i am interested in a couple of the birds and want see if it is do able Thanks
September 21, 201014 yr Author I am going but I will be visiting friends and going with them so I dont know the answers to your questions....sorry :rip:
September 21, 201014 yr How do you plan getting there from the airport if you don't drive. It is about a 20 minute drive maybe 30 minutes. When you leave the airport you head for the city you get turn on the freeway that goes to Geelong Can't think of the name (i think it is the western ring road well any that goes straight pass Laverton. And Laverton is where you need to go. Someone on here that lives in Melbourne will be able to help better than my directions. Google directions from airport to laverton.
September 21, 201014 yr Well if there was a train station handy i could hop a train if i knew which one to get..that is one option ..there are also taxis Up here the club or whatever organisation that is holding the auction arrange transport from the airport to venue for interstate bidders..
September 21, 201014 yr Author Google maps allows you to track a point A to point B journey by either car or public transport. You punch in your start point and your destination and choose method of travel. Then print off the results.
October 14, 201014 yr Sorry im so late in responding, didn't see this thread, easiest way to get there would be, catch a 'Sky Bus' to southern cross train station from the airport, then catch a Werribee line train from there to Laverton. The place is close to the station from memory... This Saturday... I'll be there!!

October 14, 201014 yr Gb last year a lot of the birds went for reasonable prices (affordable but some did go for big bucks). You could be lucky and pick something up worthwhile. I wish I could get there but can't.
October 14, 201014 yr I am in Melbourne ready for the auction on Saturday Welcome to convict country Kaz!!

October 15, 201014 yr Unfortunately I had to pull my birds out of the Auction due to losing a couple of birds in the past week. Very disappointed in losing some young hens and having to take the precaution of pulling out. Looks like I might be getting on top of things. I have apologised to WS and hopefully it has been the bit of rain last week end. Moxi T works a treat as well as Rob Marshalls Quik Gel
October 16, 201014 yr Rumour has it that the plane to WA is going to have more birds than people on it :hap:
October 16, 201014 yr My one and only purchase is Lot 74. Opaline Grey Hen 2009 from Mark Chidel. She will go nice with my Clearbodies. Edited October 16, 201014 yr by JeffL
