My 2 older budgies are currently undergoing their 1st moult and one of them, Sandy, appears to be changing colour?! :grouphug:

 

He's a yellow-face mauve greywing, however his face/wing colour is getting brighter and his mauve chest colouring is turning yellow-green:

I'm just curious to know if anyone else has encountered this type of colour change before?

Its normal for yellowface type two budgies. (Like yours is).

My mauve budgie, Thimble, is turning bright blue! She also has deep violet tail feathers? She only has a few blue feathers on her rump, but she is currently going through 1st moult. The blue is the exact colour as her dad. She also has grey cheek patches. She is breaking her cap at the moment.

Thanks! I don't mind what colour he changes to, just hadn't seen it before.
