Awesome Chookbreeder! Congrats :D

I got a 6th and a 2nd :)

I put 2 in, a Clearwing hen and Rec Pied cock bird, both placed 3rd and made WA State team. Yipee!

and my grey spangle is a reserve for the nationals team ....which means he likely wont go unless others get sick or lose tailfeathers etc.

He's beautiful Kaz well done. And well done Renee too. :):D

Arrgh !!!!

I got a 3rd in hens, 4th in Cinnamon, 6th in Blues, and a couple around 13th - 14th.

My hen is an emergency for the Vic team, little disapointed with that.

:)

Congratulations, guys. That's exciting.

I went to the shield in Preston today. Well done! Great looking birds there.

I will start breeding show birds this spring....just joined a club....can't wait.

Very Stiff Heathrow - given that your hen is now deemed no good, you can send her down to me anytime!

Chin up mate!

I did seek a response why - she is flecked.

PT maybe your Grey Green could be potential partner for her. After thursday she will be in the breeding cage.

Congratulations and good luck to everyone who gets a bird selected for there state team. It's no easy feat. I will be watching the "live internet feed" with

great enthusiasm over the weekend.

We had our first open show for the Interbranch this year in SA - normally we have our club preselections like NSW and VIC. I could only put three hens in, as everything is just finishing up the first round, and I dont think its too fair to be putting them straight into a show (hadnt planned it that way, but they all laid late).

I did manage a first with the Clearbodies, and a 5th in the hens class, so I'll have one in the team.

Found my clearwing and its tail had parted ways during the judging! *LOL* No luck there...

I bought my first good birds of of Mr Logan (Logan Shield) in 1969.

to everyone else in vic their was some very nice birds today and my heart dropped a bit with the idea that this is what i have to achive to even get close to a bird benched (normally not even for state team) its a massive challange and it was great to see all the happy but very tied people at end of it all with congradulations going out to quiet a few breeders who have birds placed in the team

well done to everybody

and belive me some of the birds left home are in my opinion just as good if not some better that stayed behind due to lack of condition this weathers knocked alot of birds around makeing this all the more challanging

so well done to everyone out their who even made the young bird shields :)

Hello hello. Testing 1,2,3

After previous fumbled attempts of joining the Forum this may have worked.

Today was my 30th pre-selection in WA. Whilst lifes other demands keep me from embracing the hobby as much as I know would like I still get excited about the Nationals.

This year we are showing for the first time as Jeff Lloyd and Sons. Previously, my sons have shown their birds at Nationals under my name. My youngest son Julian having a Violet selected in Busselton only to lose its tail in the holding cage and last year my oldest son Christopher won the Nationals with a Greywing.

I am enjoying seeing my sons gain much pleasure from something that has been a big part of my life.

Christopher played Football this afternoon. The beaming smile on his face when I told him that two brothers, a Grey and Yellowface, that I had entered for him had been selected for Rockhampton was priceless.

Whilst Julian didnt get a bird in the team I gave him his trophy for being the best Junior Exhibitor at SWBC last year. He was just happy to beat his brother!

All the best to those who have birds going to Rockhampton. I know we will all be keenly watching the Live Feed next Saturday morning to follow the results.

Hi and Welcome Jeff

To chookbreeder, I really didn't notice as I really didn't feel like talking to anyone but I thought I should make a little effort but I really thought you were polite and of course always a gentleman :P , I felt really sick in the morning and really didn't want to be there. I actually felt like I was rude to GB. so If I was I am really sorry. But then she did make me walk 10 thousand miles :ohmygod: well it felt that far. And I missed out on Chinese dinner with my club members so that was sad. :( I left here at 6am and didn't get home till 7.30pm so it was a really long day.

BUT really it was a good day with a lot of top birds there, very hard to get a bird in the Nationals.

Congratulations Liv, wow and see you were going to quit. Glad you didn't

and Congratulations Renee.

Of of course Congrats to you to Peter and anyone else who have their birds going.

Sorry Kaz you didn't get one in but I am sure next year you will :) I didn't either.

My violet spangle came 3rd in the violet class which I was totally wrapped with as he has a very short tail and my df spangle came 7th in the Df spangle class.

Congrats splat. I think that is a great result....3rd in the violet class....I had a look at the violets...very strong competition...well done.

It was nice meeting you.
