She is gorgeous. I was admiring her when I was scanning through the pics - they are all fantastic actually. The mask on that last one is fabulous. Which pair did she come out of? Bloodlines?

Omelettes daughter to a cock of Jan Mac Mahons. ........so MacMahon on both sides :o

The great thing about Omlette is she breeds so well, eggs eggs and more eggs!! Hope she passes it on to her cocks as well as hens!

fertility runs in the family :)

All her babies are gorgeous and its been great to watch them grow up.

Uh... Jimmy? Cocks don't lay eggs!

haha true that, My head was thinking about fertility, should've clarified that...

I knew what you meant JB :)

It is worth mentioning that Omelette was one of Kaz's "big" purchases 2 seasons ago at I think the MBC auction (Kaz will correct me if I'm wrong) :glare: At the time she was very special and has gone on to become the foundation of her flock. It just goes to show that sometimes you can get very, very lucky. :)

There awesome birds Kaz I can only dream of having such a bird as Omelette.

More than anything is her bloodlines click really well with Gary Armstrong birds.

Not sure it is all abotu luck Renee. Anyone can buy a bird at an auction, it does pay to be selective and to know what you are after, to consult with the breeders regarding what you are buying.

Yes, it is good for Karen to have such a good bird, but to put it all down to luck. It is not a raffle, it is an auction. A little different I think

Hi Kaz she sounds wonderful!

I think all studs would benifit from a matriach bird like your Omelette.

I had a Grey Green Hen who sounds like her.

Unfortunately she died last June after producing a number of chicks over two seasons.

Like you I have her children and now the grand children which is great.

I love the pics, what sort of camera do you use?
