November 22, 200915 yr How old is he? yes he does look that way. BUT his flights at the moment look very tight and neat but his secondaries flights look long and really messy. His head looks normal too, normally they have great feather on the head too which makes you think wow what a bird until they start showing the signs of a mop.

January 25, 201015 yr hey GB think it a hen ? , both parents are rec so all chicks will be rec and doesnt that also mean that the chicks that are hens will be heavily marked it looks like it is Opaline to me sorry i said cock as you said rec / opaline i thought you ment it was split to opaline ...their for only could be cock but i now see what you wrote you were saying it was rec pied Opaline  hen sorry its late i should be sleeping she is beautiful i love the heavy v on her no heavy marked hens are not from rec to rec breeding just from poorly marked pairings usually as in badly marked or one peront badly marked but im not sure i know i was told only breed rec to rec unless the out cross normal is a Superior bird to get splits
January 26, 201015 yr Author we could probably say its a opaline rec yellow faced blue as its also got a fair bit of blue lower on its body. its dad is a dark green rec split opaline and also from a yellowface blue back ground. the mums also a cin wing voilet rec. so could get anything out of that pairing
