October 11, 200915 yr WOW those two are stunners Kaz hope you get lots of lovely babes with that amount of eggs
October 11, 200915 yr Author Where does she come from Kaz? Did you get her off Hans? No, she is a Cec bred hen.Just out of interest, what is the maximum babies one might expect?..Depends on how good a mother is with her eggs, and if they are all fertile, by the time the earlier chicks hatch they can foul the other eggs, so you try and foster out some eggs in larger clutches. I prefer to foster chicks than eggs.

October 16, 200915 yr it must be frsutrating for your best birds to produce so few young. The grey parents of Uno. Now these two have 2 fertile eggs. I suppose it goes on to support the theory we discussed ages ago when others in Sydney were going on a buying spree seeking to buy the best birds - great birds do not always make great parents. Lucky you have Ommie.
