Normal Skyblue Hen And Opaline Olive Green Cock

Featured Replies

what would the resulting babies look like?

If the cock IS NOT split for blue:

All hens will be Opaline Dark Green

All cocks will be Dark Green

If the cock IS split for blue:

Hens: 50% Opaline Dark Green, 50% Cobalt

Cocks: 50% Dark Green, 50% Cobalt

The parents could also be split for all sorts of other varieties (cock being split Cinnamon the most possible) in which case you get variations on the above.

Are you absolutely sure the cock is OLIVE as many people get grey green and olive confused. If he is grey green not olive it changes the results already submitted.

I did think Oliver was Grey Green but he has darb blue on his tail and the bluey-purpley cheek patches so decided that made him an olive green. Let me know if that isn't correct though. Here's a couple of pictures of him...a bit blurry, sorry.

And here is a picture of the skyblue hen (in the foreground with her parents beside her)

The hen (Maxi) is only 10 weeks old right now so nowhere near breeding yet, but I'm thinking down the road a while :)

pictures way oversized as per forum rules so changed to links

If his tail is truly navy blue then he is olive. If it were black he would be grey green :)
