Babies Going To The Unbroken Cap Shield Sunday

Featured Replies

For what it's worth, Melton will struggle this time. A few of us have had a slow start to this breeding season and a number waited for the new ring issue to pair up. I am sure this will be the case for many clubs. Sunday will reveal all.

Splat - does that mean that Ky won't be fielding a team this year?

Cheers

stack up,because of the the ring thing. :)

Yes Pete Ky is out. Most of our members were waiting for the rings, Ian has a few but perching yet, Heath none and really it wasn't really worth Ky going as we only had a hand full of birds and the violet was the best. Ah well there is always the young bird shield :)

That is a shame Splat. Talking to a "BCV official" apparently numbers are similar to last year. It will be interesting to see what the "tail" is like.

Cheers, PT

;) sorry to hear splat you have some lovely birds

you know i love you birds would have been nice to see them up close and personal lol

Oh that's sad Splat! Still I'm sure the babies might prefer to stay home today rather than have to go to a show and no doubt that violet will grow up to be a stunner and do his share of winning anyway!

oh no they were really nice birds

Yes Nubbly they will better off not going as it is a big day for them being babies and it's at least a 2 1/2 hour trip 1 way. Last time at the young bird shield we left here at 6.30 and didn't get home till about 6.30 that night it was a really long day and I was exhausted poor birds.

Wow, huge win by Mountain. I don't remember a team winning by that much for a while. I guess Shep & Flan won a few?

Who won the violet class Macka

Alan Baxter won the Violets - looked a good budgie. Alan Rowe had a Lutino which is perhaps the best UBC I have ever seen. I am sure it will make it onto the cover of the Budgie News.

Results are on the BCV website.

Cheers. PT.
