Posted July 21, 200916 yr HI everyone i was wondering what mutation my club budgie is and weather it is a Hen or a Cock am not sure with this one. these photos are about 3 to 4 months old i will try and get some new ones tomorrow.
July 21, 200916 yr He is a dominant pied. he looks to be a cobalt or a sky violet and in those pictures he is young still
July 21, 200916 yr I think HE is a cobalt violet. The top picture I think HIS colour is a little washed out due to the flash, however in the bottom picture, I believe HIS deeper true colour is showing. So therefore, you have a Cobalt Violet Dominant Pied Cock. We would all love to see some older pics. Edited July 21, 200916 yr by Dave_McMinn

July 22, 200916 yr Dominant pied violet sky blue you can tell as the tail feather is aqua it is possibly df violet sky blue as his violet is quiet visable over the sky if he looks to be cobalt then he is for sure df violet
September 27, 200915 yr He is a boy for sure. SF violet, sky blue, Pied. Cobalts have navy/black tail feathers due to being SF dark. I noticed he has one feather on his wing spangled = split to spangled.

There is no such thing as split to spangled I am afraid.....spangle is a dominant gene and as such is always a visual gene and cannot be split for. That bird carries no spangle.
