Sky blue? The father is a sky blue spangle & the mother is a regular blue spangle.

Yup, looks like normal sky blue to me, the tail pattern of the oldest budgie is very dazzling, he/she will be a nice specimen after 1 or 2 moults

Skyblue and a hen. Two at the top of photo also hens. Cant see the one at the front properly to sex it

Normal Sky Blue. Also looks to me like it could be a hen but I'm not 100% might just look that way because of the flash, the one looking at the camera straight on is a hen though. Odd you don't seem to have any spangles out of two spangle parents.

That was my thought as well! Unfortunate (unusual..?) to get 4 normals out of spangle parents!

When I bought them from two different Pet stores I was told that they were Spangles. I've been having the parents for about a year now & I am still trying to tame them. I'll try to get a good picture of them tomorrow.

Wow it looks like I have all hens so far (I wanted at least one male). Here's a picture of the one you couldn't sex....DSCF1661-vi.jpg

That one looks like a hen to me, also. Though wait for Kaz to reply, I'm still learning about sexing them that young.

Looks like a normal sky blue, the others look like normals too. A pair of spangles would be expected to produce about 25% normals, 50% single factor spangles and 25% double factor spangles

The pictures you have posted are not spangles... they both look to be NORMALS??? The father looks to be normal sky blue and the mother is a normal cobalt blue. So the reason you didn't get spangle babies is because you don't have spangle parents.

both are normal bird, dad is split for opaline tho as the second oldest in that first picture appears to be skyblue opaline

I'm with you Nerwen. I thought the second baby was opaline too. All will be blues, either sky or cobalt.
