I bought a parakeet last September and i've been trying to trace the leg band number but haven't found anything. If anyone could help me I would really appreciate it.

The band is Black with white letters/numbers.

Have you tried contacting the American Budgerigar Society? or the Budgerigar Association of America?

TF is the breeders code. 08 is the year of hatching ..........2008. 4453 is the number of the ring and number of the bird.
