I've had my beautiful budgie for 4/5 years. I've always thought he was a boy - he's very noisy and tends to not bite me as hard as any of the hens I've had.

 

Now I'm on this fantastic forum, I thought I'd ask the experts! Is Muppet a boy?

I agree but with one addition....the depth of blue indicates sky violet to me not just skyblue

How about Cobalt,=sky blue voilet,

He is got the same depth of color as my hen and I've been told she is not quite cobalt but a skyblue violet as well ..

Its possible, but colour is generally deeper around the rump on all birds so its difficult to say on what little blue he has since its rump colour

Leave Muppet's bottom out of this!

i'm no good at working out gender, but these guys are awesome at it! Just wanted to say that Muppet is beautiful!

was a flashed used? If it was then the colour will be brighter than it is in person.
