Ive been getting mixed opinions on whether ivermectin treats and prevents worms or not?

If it does then its good but if it doesnt I will need to get some wormout gel.

Can anyone confirm?

I always thought it did but my avian vet says to use wormout gel.

My vet sas it does but if your birds have access to a dirt floor then they will just reinfest themselves so she always suggests that we use both, ivermetcin as they come into the property and then worm out gel or wormer during the year. If They get moved from the avairy to the breeding cages then I re ivermetcin.

I thought it was only for mite??? I use Worming Gell for Worms.

Ivermectin does not control tape worms but it controls most other intestinal worms

Neville is right, Ivermectin does some worms but not others.
