A New Budgie!

Looky what I got! Lol I just got a new baby budgie! He's 43 days old today, and a lovely male Yf2 Grey Normal. I bought him from a local breeder, (first time I've ever done that instead of the petshop and I was very happy with the breeder..probably do that again instead of a petshop next time!) so I know his exact birthday and got to see his parents. A Cobalt YF2 female and a Mauve-Grey-Violet sort of coloured Normal male.

Here's a picture of the little boy, settling in well. My guess was right, a male yf2 grey normal?

Well he hasn't moulted yet, that's why he looks like a yf1. But his mother was a yf2, so I'm assuming that is what he is, as his father wasn't yellowface at all.

Oh, also. Is he actually Grey or is he a Mauve? Because his cheek patches seem to be blue, not grey..but he is a strange colour for a Mauve..Anyway, if someone can give me some help on that, that would be great.

He's SO cute!

I had always planned to call my next budgie "Daffy" (short for Daffodil if it was female  ) but my little guy is just such a funny little peanut that i couldn't name him anything but Peanut!!

Awww he's adorable!

and no wonder its as nice as it is, its from a breeder and not a rip off pet shop
