I am sorry to hear you lost some koi Kaz how will you deter the birds from coming near the pond?

We havent had a problem before but now this bird knows where the fish are it keeps coming back. We have laid aviary mesh over the top of the pond for now. The dogs didnt chase the bird because they are used to us having birds and maybe they thought it was one of ours :raincloud:

These two fledged this evening also. They are related to the other grey greens in this thread but were in a foster nest.

 

they have gone into the kindie cage with their siblings and a foster dad.

I am about to make a bank of training show cages in my birdroom so I can put some birds in the them to train while I am in the birdroom each morning and evening. Should help a lot.

More babies fledged today and more went into the kindie cage. Tomorrow I have to set up my largest kindie cage as the one they are in now isnt big enough.

Spider...she was rescued as a premmie from a smashed egg...came into the world 4 days early due to damaged egg
