I think she would be a sky violet, but the cinnamon has washed her colouring out. I originally thought she was going to be grey, but we can see from the cheek patches, and the mottled colouring of her chest feathers, that she is in fact going to be blue. You can see the bright sky blue coloured feathers and also some washed out looking purpley coloured feathers. Until her first moult, it is still all specualtion, but she is definitely not grey. You are right there too. dave she is definitely a sky violet i got a sky violet cinn cock / lacewing i always thought it was mauve how ever its breeding rezults of its identical brother said other wize so i took it along to a well astablished violet breeder and asked him here what colour do you think this bird is he asked me i said i think sky violet although he does look mauve he said it was defenently sky violet so the cinnamon afects the violet giving it a grey efect being a modifier that does make sence so hope that helps some :bump:

Of the 5, only 2 eggs are fertile, I think. The SF and DF spangles are the offsrping of a DF spangle hen and Dumber (RIP) The grey opaline and the cinnamon wing grey are from the second clutch of Earl (grey opaline/cinnamon) and Latte (grey opaline) Finally the sole offspring from the 2nd clutch of Kiwi and Twitch

December 10, 200915 yr Author Well, the current breeding is slowing down dramatically. Only one pair are going through the motions now, and of their 5 eggs, only 1 was fertile. The Dark Green Cock and his GreyGreen Hen have a lovely little one they are raising. ring is on and all is good. I am going to give the breeding room a good clean out on the weekend, then some new pairs will be considered and put down.
