Hi everyone!

I'm pretty new here but I think I will like this forum. I'm from Scandinavia, which is in Northern Europe. This means that I don't write English very well, I hope you will understand my anyhow. At least I understand what you guys are saying. And for me that's most important. Well if I would go to the interesting part instead, my budgies! I have four budgies, they are from one of my friends who is a very competent, and in my opinion, lovely breeder. My budgies are :

Winchester af VildaParadis. He is 2 years old and he is a light green opaline. He is not that smart but he is very happy most of the time. Winchester is in love with Avril but Petronella is trying to take him from her.

Avril af VildaParadis. She is a bit over 1 year old and a lightgrey greywing. Avril is scarily smart but she is a *****. She is maybe not in love with Winchester, at least she pretend she isn't, but they really like each other.

Pippi Petronella, she is also 2 years old and have had a litter (is that the right word? A bunch of babies however.) when she still lived at the breeder. Petronella is a violet cobalt standard. She is smart too, but indifferent to Avril she is pretty kind.

Fjådor af VildaParadis is my newest baby. He is around 10 weeks old and so cute! Winchester is his uncle and Avril is his niece. Right now he is sitting in quarantine. He is really cuddly. I'm waiting for a flight suit, maybe I can learn him to wear it so he can come out in the garden without his cage. Yesterday I took out his cage so he could enjoy the sun. He really liked it! Fjådor is a green standard, beautiful! He may have violet factor, we are not sure. But I guess that shows up when he has been trough his first moult (when he loses his feathers).

I'm very sorry for my bad English. I hope that you don't laughed too much :D

I think your English is just fine  and your pictures are beautiful you are a fanastic photographer you have really captured some awesome moments. We have a wonderful contest month called Budgie of the Month if you would like to enter one of your pictures that would be awesome.

Welcome to BBC and we look forward to getting to know you.

Your english is great  Love the names you've called your birds, And your pictures are great too. When a bird has babies and they are from the same "litter" the term is clutch :D But even people that have spoken English there whole life still arn't sure what to call it so I wouldn't be worried... Welcome to the forum!!

Your English is certainly not going to be a problem... some of us have poorer written English than yours, especially if we're up late at night or being lazy!

You should definitely enter some of your pics for Budgie of the Month!

All of you: Wow thanks for all the nice words! I'm glad to hear that you like my pictures, but to be honest it's hard to fail when my models are so sweet. Nice to hear that you understand my English, and that you like their names. ^_^

Richo: A flight suit is like a tiny dress for the birds. They wear it when you want to take them outside. But it is just a few birds who learns to like it, and you can't make them were the suit against their will. It sounds crazier than it is... Of course they can't were it to long or too often, but sometimes the bird really like it! I hope my birds will.

Here are some pictures of birds in their suits:

Krosop: I'm from Sweden but I live in Finland at the moment. Denmark is nice!

This forum and the members really seem lovely! Speaking of snow; one of my friends (my budgies breeder) has parrots (budgies, Cockatiels and Lessons parrotlets) who really like to be outside playing in the snow when it is winter. That's pretty cool of you ask me.

Hi, beautiful pictures, do you use a digital camera? Great birds, does your climate allow for them to be in outdoor aviary's?

Hi, beautiful pictures, do you use a digital camera? Great birds, does your climate allow for them to be in outdoor aviary's?

Thanks! :) Most of the time I use my Canon EOS 450D, sometimes I use my smaller camera, a Canon PowerShot A710 IS. Most of the photos in my first post is taken with my bigger camera (450D).

In the summers (June, July, August) it is around 20°C here (which should be around 70ºF), so yes they can be outside in aviarys. I don't have anyone yet but we are going to build one soon! Some of my friends who have parrots let their budgies be outside all year around, of course they can go inside if they want to, they got special food and they are common with the temperature since month back in time. So on the days they are outside playing in the snow and in the nights they go inside for sleeping. Pretty cool accourding to me! In the winters it can be around -20ºC (-4 ºF). But like I said, the aviary-birds can go inside if they want to.
