If you are wondering which is better as a pet, then here I will tell you budgie and on the other forum i will tell you tiel haha. Seriously though, they are both wonderful companion birds and both bond closely to their owner, both talk and both can learn to do tricks, so overall the choice is yours as to which you prefer the best

Sorry, I didn't realise that this was a "budgie only" forum Thanks for the fast replies. that may be the case, but heaps of people here have other birds as well! i know there are a lot of people with bigger parrots as well as teils etc too... you've already had one tiel site recommended, I am sure others will be able to provide other links/forums to help you make your decision! If you go with budgies, there's heaps of stuff here to help you out... check out the FAQ section here before you decide... it might help in the decision making process!
February 15, 200916 yr Author I decided to go with budgies. There is a great pet shop close to me which has many birds, and the advice the staff gave was excellent. I already bought a large cage. So I guess I'll be on here more often! Just one question. I saw on a few websites that budgies arent cuddly and boring when compared to cockatiels. Are your budgies cuddly?
February 28, 200916 yr it depends on the personality of your budgie. i have had budgies taht fly to me when im near and i have budgies which bite so hard it makes me bleed . i hope you choose the right little compannion for yourself good luck :budgiedance:
