Queen Boris - Looking Her Worst

Featured Replies

My baby is in such a miserable state. The bottom of the cage is full of feathers.

She won't talk, she won't sing, she won't play - my baby is in a full moult!

In her entire life she has not moulted like this. No one and nothing can cheer her up.

I am used to her spying at me from under the cover in the early morning before I uncover her. I am used to her excitement when I come home - she normally won't let me past without playing with her. She especially loves to give the appearance that she is going to savage my fingers only to turn it into a light nibble/preening greeting to my fingers.

Here she is giving me the evil eye for daring to show her to her subjects in such a shocking state:

Her royal highness does get an itchy butt every now and again:

awe poory thing, that is what Merlin looked like recently and he was the same way, I keep him really warm that was the key to help him through it along with Kaz's advice of molting aide should help her out.

Poor Boris  Have you tried moulting aid made by vetafarm?

I haven't been able to get any Mouting Aid yet.

I am going to the produce store tomorrow for seed and will check to see if they have any.

Otherwise, will Spark help her?

She's had absolutely nothing to do with me this weekend.

My father called me out this morning as she was sitting on the floor facing the corner. Soon as I went outside she raced to the top perch. I caught her up anyway and examined her body - by golly she's got some meat on her!!! She's fine except for a porcupine for a head, the poor girl there was nowhere I could touch on her head to rub her so I rubbed her beak. Lucky for me she doesn't bite me very hard.

I think she was chewing on the floor wire rack - that's probably what she was doing.

My poor porcupine Boris!

Well, Boris grumbled at me tonight when I came home from work. That is something - she has been completely ignoring me lately.

She actually came down to bite me this morning! I am very happy about this as she actually came to me :)

 i dont think i have ever heard anyone say they are happy about getting bitten - so pleased she is starting to feel better

lol, glad she is feeling her old self again

Well my baby girl is back!

She still looks a sight what with her head still looking like a porcupine's back, but at least she is over the worst of it and loves me again.
