January 12, 200916 yr YAAAAAAAYYYYY!!!!!!! Congratulations! :anim_19: One Spring baby coming up! :chickendance:
January 12, 200916 yr CONGRATULATIONS!!! :fear My alex is a September baby - its a good time of the year for new bubs, not too hot and not too cold
January 12, 200916 yr YAY Congrats! I have two September babies, 17th Sept and 25th Sept. My auntie always teases me that New Year's must be my favorie time of year as this is around when they were concieved!
January 12, 200916 yr Author Well my two older kidlets are 2nd June and 18th October, I couldn't deal with being really big in the hot weather so September is just fine with me :fear
January 12, 200916 yr I agree, my daughter is a 27th of December baby (2 1/2 weeks overdue and oversized) and I remember that Christmas not being able to reach the turkey on the table - or fit it in! She's 10 and still curses the timing of her birthday. So well done on your excellent timing, if I was a baby, I'd be happy to be born in September! :fear
January 12, 200916 yr Author Thanks all I have to say though I feel cr@p so I am willing the next few months to be over quickly, especially since based on history it'sonly getting worse from here! Edited January 12, 200916 yr by melbournebudgies
January 12, 200916 yr Errk! morning sickness totally sucks. I hope you find ways to make it more bearable.
January 12, 200916 yr I hope it passes and you feel better soon! I had really bad morning sickness the whole pregnancy with my daughter and none at all with my son - has anybody else had that experience? I was told it was something to do with the mum's body tolerating the boy's hormones better, don't know how true that is? I also had "happy hormones" with my son - I could have the worst day and it wouldn't phase me - it was cool, I wish it lasted! My husband used to bring me a cup of tea in bed to make me feel better, he still does that now and my daughter's 10! How sweet is that Edited January 12, 200916 yr by 2budgies
January 12, 200916 yr Author Well at this stage it's not too bad like a dull achy feeling like my insides are turning inside out and the odd mild queasy moment if I go near a trigger. For me the trigger has always been cooking smells and most especially raw meat. With both my previous kids it got so bad I didn't eat meat at all and lived on a very bland diet of starchy foods for many months (basically salada biscuits, mashed potato and coca cola which is weird as normally I can't stand coke ) With my oldest I got by because hubby cooked for himself (I couldn't even be in the house while he did though), with my second my oldest loved vegies and we ate lots of steamed vegies but it was still tough cooking them. So my plan this time since I will be on my own most of the time is: In the next few weeks I will buy a couple of bulk packs of sausages and some chicken which I'll cook up now and cut into pieces and store in the freezer pre-cooked. That way it will be as simple as pulling the appropriate amount out and putting it on plates and microwaving it, hopefully I'll be able to cope with cooking vegies but if it seems to cause me trouble I'll do the same with some mashed potato, etc and cook mostly in the microwave to contain the smells.
January 12, 200916 yr Good idea! Frozen green beans were the worst for me. My husband would open the freezer to get blood worm to feed the fish, and I'd have to leave the house for at least 1/2 an hour! Make sure your family spoils you at this special time - especially because morning sickness can be cruel! It will all be worth it in the end, just count down those weeks one by one!
January 12, 200916 yr Author I had really bad morning sickness the whole pregnancy with my daughter and none at all with my son - has anybody else had that experience? I was told it was something to do with the mum's body tolerating the boy's hormones better, don't know how true that is? It's interesting that you say this I feel much worse this time around at the same stage. With my boys I didn't even realise I was pregnant until I was what they call 6 weeks (which in reality is actually only 4 weeks since conception), I have felt preggers for atleast 1 1/2 weeks already and I'm not even due to have 'missed' for another two days and have been getting positive (but pale) tests for about a week, so theoretically that means I started to 'feel' like I was pregnant within less than a week of actually concieving!!!! God I hope it's not a sign of horrid morning sickness to come I am just waiting for that 'safe mark' of 12 weeks as before then really anything can happen, at the moment I'm really only about 4 weeks!
January 12, 200916 yr Can only hope all goes well. I was just like that with my daughter I felt preggers really early! My husband and I weren't sure if I'd be able to have kids so agreed to buy a bird baby if things didn't work out. After getting a devastating negative result from the doctor (the day my periods were due) when I was sure I was pregnant, we went out and bought a cockatoo. Three days later I got a positive! So I ended up with both bird and baby!
January 12, 200916 yr Author We are hoping for a girl ( but of course we wouldn't be upset either way) so hopefully it's a good sign then I must say I'm glad to hear others have felt this way so early though as I was a little worried that maybe it was a bad sign or something...
