January 13, 200916 yr Trish - they are an amazing blue. Everytime I look at them, I say "wow", they are so electric. They have a sister who is not aslong or boofy headed, rarely hens are as boofy as the cocks, but she will not be coming home with me. Such a shame I am so far accross the continent! I would like her!

Kaz had mentioned that she needed hens before we had even looked at a budgie, so I was thinking that if Kaz was going to get any birds, it would only be hens. I was not fussy. Kaz saw this bird first and said "If David is not interested, I am interested in that blue hen". Being the gentleman that I am I feigned disinterest. Kaz is being very good to me, so it was the very least I could do at all. :angel1: :anim_19:

January 14, 200916 yr Well you know to solve all disagreements I'll take it. I wouldn't want any problems happening and have Dave stranded in Perth Only problem is I don't need more hens... Ahh well I guess I'll just get her and 3 cocks Instead of just 2 cocks... Edited January 14, 200916 yr by JimmyBanks
January 14, 200916 yr Author Jimmy, I do not think she will be leaving here. As for me being stranded in Perth - Kaz is not driving me home. I am sure I can get out. Remember, there is no safety door on the cage in which I sleep - LOL!!!!!!!!!

January 15, 200916 yr We went to the drive in last night. There was an event with the Cadillac Club where there was a cruise along the coast with the Cadillac Club combined with the Buick Car Club, so Dave and I joined up with that and ended up at the Drive In movies. An interesting line up of cars and some good people. We watched the movie BOLT...which was fun. A nice balmy evening with lovely red and pink streaks through the sky at dusk. Havent been to the drive in for years. I think this was the last drive in left in Perth.
January 15, 200916 yr Now, these two brothers I am so far calling Dumb and Dumber. The sky blue opaline spangle is the ditzy blonde of the budgie world (apologies to the blondes on this forum), actually they are possibly sky violets here is the sister of Dumb and Dumber and she's just as silly....very hard to get a photo of. called her Schitzo and my DF spangle hen I have called SHAGGY due to her heavy feathering and the green spangle hen Edited January 15, 200916 yr by KAZ

January 15, 200916 yr Author I took a few pics today on my journey along the coastline. Here are some pics. Beach shots Marina shots Fremantle station The WACA Bell Tower in Perth New Ferris Wheel Cruised around and saw a few things I did not take photos of. It was nice to see, nice in the car in the air conditioning. I also went to the Chocolate factory on West Swan Rd. Very yummy. Went to a few galleries and got some nice pics and some good ideas. Nice day, saw a few things. Could do this all again and see all new things. Very enjoyable. I was able to get out JB as Kaz is still yet to make a safety door on my aviary home .
