I went out to check my babes this morning and the oldest of the babies from my tufted cock/non-tufted hen is definately tufted!!!

 

My hubby is charging up the camera so I promise baby photos ASAP!!

My hubby took some photos but then couldn't find the camera cord Hoping I'll find it today some time as I'm spring cleaning the house

I know how that feels... I lost mine the other day... luckily I knew where the spare was...

Yay again, a second crested baby!! The first has now developed a nice round crest so not a tufted like dad but a proper crested The second one has kind of a whorl, the feathers don't meet nicely in the centre like the first. The oldest is a gorgeous violet and the younger one is light green

Thats great MB!!! Look forward to seeing them when I pick up Lip and Len and the babies

The girls will be moving in with their boys soon. I am going to wait until next weekend once the crazy dog leaves

Back on topic I saw the picture of the crested at the Nationals this year earlier tonight. Looked good! Maybe one day we'll see yours up there

I hope so!!! These ones are just pet types but they might just tide my budgie bug over until I have some proper show types to show for it

 

Not sure how 'in condition' your girls are, hopefully once they are in with the boys things might get moving a bit
