Worked My Butt Off Today

Well as some of you may be aware I have had a few mouse problems lately, as well as that I have had a lot of seed spilling onto the floor of the room outside the flight. In an effort to curb both those problems I used melamine sheeting along the bottom edges of the aviary and also sealed along the base with a gap filler (don't worry no fumes :( )

So here it is after some work. I've changed from having the seed on a table to having the hanging feeders on the walls and I'm hoping this will help confine the seed to one corner a little more.

Awesome MB :(

I really hope that helps keep the mice at bay

My hubby arrives tonight and he is going to help me install a divider which will sit at about where that first frame is 1/3 of the way from the door. The breeding cages will go in the first section and it will also serve the double purpose of acting as a safety door :(

A very neat and great looking avairy with lot's of enjoyment for the birds. Well done. I've never seen those feeders before, they look good.

They aren't cheap but I was lucky enough to spot them as part of an ebay bulk lot including a bunch of large cages which I managed to get for $20, they are normally about $40 each so three feeders plus three cages and one of those green and white plastic poultry waterers for 20 bucks was a great buy :(

WOW MB that is looking fanastic!!! Great job.

I'm glad you think so, I always look at it and think "Hmmm...I must mop the floor, look how gross it's looking" I'm a bit of a perfectionist though :(

It looks great! My husband is building me a new aviary (for the last 4 months!) I'll post the photos when completed.

Hey, is that an old car steering wheel hanging up? If it is, what a great idea!

:( Not quite. It's from a bar stool that was never put together and for some reason the rest of it got chucked out but I found this after we moved. It's the bit that goes between the legs for you to put your feet on :hap:
