My Bird Is Bleeding!

Featured Replies

I just started taking my parakeet out of his cage a few days ago, I got him 14 days ago. When I took him out today, he flapped his wings and some blood splattered onto my finger! There are a few drops of blood in his cage and I think he may have just pecked himself. It's coming from under his left wing, I don't know what to do!

The vet isn't open yet and I'm very worried!

Please help me, what should I do?

I know I'm 4 hours late, but I hope he is still okay...

You need to have a really close look at where it's comming from, as if it's a blood feather, it needs to be pulled out. Do you have any white pepper. This can be used to stop the bleeding

Bleeding bird and what to do

I knew there was something else... but forgot what it was. THANKS!!!

You can also use cornflour if you don't have white pepper.

Good advice....
