hi all again , i did a mini cull a few weeks back and also bought some new birds too . so here they are , cobolt normal cock and fallow hen pair

They look beautiful, the first one looks Cobalt to me, maybe a flash was used to wash out the color a bit, blues are so difficult to photograph.

yeah those cobolts are tricky to get the true colour to show up , may have been washed out by the flash a bit . its really dull and overcast outside today too .

I am interested o why you have called the last cock a Double Factor Spangle Suffusion Cock?

 

I would have called it a DF Spangle White Cock.

Violet can be hard to show up on the photo's

he has very light blue suffusion on his underside which is just visible in the photo . others have told me he was df spangle with blue suffusion and i dont really know any better ;)

the true violet cock (chase) and yf cobolt opaline hen have their first egg :) so id best start a new topic when i get a few more eggs and pics :sad:

thats ace ...by the way don't quote me on this but your spangle think it was the hen cant remember will check back she it i think you will find is split for recessive pie as she has one to two white feathers on head if you look closly she will throw r. pies if placed with a r. pie or if one parent is split for r. pie :)yerp, the sky blue spangle if that helps any :hap:
