Posted December 9, 200816 yr hi all again , i did a mini cull a few weeks back and also bought some new birds too . so here they are , cobolt normal cock and fallow hen pair true violet cock and yf opaline cobolt hen pair ( chase and angel ) cobolt normal cock / sky blue spangle hen pair gf ( or yf2 ?) cobolt cinnamon hen mac , yf2 rec pied sky blue( neat tells me violet too ) and violet rec pied hen and df spangle suffusion cock
December 10, 200816 yr They look beautiful, the first one looks Cobalt to me, maybe a flash was used to wash out the color a bit, blues are so difficult to photograph.
December 10, 200816 yr Author yeah those cobolts are tricky to get the true colour to show up , may have been washed out by the flash a bit . its really dull and overcast outside today too .
December 10, 200816 yr I am interested o why you have called the last cock a Double Factor Spangle Suffusion Cock? I would have called it a DF Spangle White Cock.
December 10, 200816 yr Sw I disagree the first photo is a cock .... Violet can be hard to show up on the photo's I know that Chase is a True Violet :hap: ..... Also ...Don't breed Angel ..... She had 2 clutches this year already - Missylu should have told you ....
December 10, 200816 yr Author I am interested o why you have called the last cock a Double Factor Spangle Suffusion Cock? I would have called it a DF Spangle White Cock. he has very light blue suffusion on his underside which is just visible in the photo . others have told me he was df spangle with blue suffusion and i dont really know any better
December 12, 200816 yr Author They are gorgeous pairs. I hope you get lots of lovely babies from them the true violet cock (chase) and yf cobolt opaline hen have their first egg so id best start a new topic when i get a few more eggs and pics
