December 9, 200816 yr It looks like a TCB hen. The cock is not a clearbody, does it have red eyes or is it a DEC or DF spangle? If the cock is a lutino, there's a possibility a to get some visual TCB from this pair, otherwise only some split TCB cocks. Good luck with the pairing!
December 9, 200816 yr The hen is a TCB the feather condition looks very poor is the bird going through a molt? How old is the hen? This is just observation on what I see I am no expert. The yellow bird looks like a hen too? I can't see a clear shot of the cere but if it is pink at the bird is over a 8 months then 1. it is a Dark Eyed Clear if it doesn't have red eyes OR 2. it is a Lutino if it has red eyes Are these birds related? December 9, 200816 yr She is a TCB but she looks very old My thoughts on the yellow bird are the same as Ellys'
December 10, 200816 yr Hi Dragonfly, I hope you have kept all her offspring from other pairings, they may come in handy for future generations. Especially her male offspring who will be split for the sex-linked traits. Also keep the albino hen offspring you got, she will be useful if you want to breed a black and white clearbody. Let me know what you get from this pairing with your lutino male. Once you have a good collection of offspring, we can have a look at who is related, and see if you can achieve a black and white clearbody without too much in-breeding. She's not from texas anymore, she has black flights. Her primary tail flights were also black before they fell out with her moult. A black-flighted version of sex-linked clearbody most likely. I like your bird, she is special and unique.
December 10, 200816 yr Author Yes, the cock is lutino, it has red eyes. The pair have been successful, the hen may be old, but still be able to give birth. They recently gave birth to a breeding abino hen. I would also like to try this time. DrNat: Thank you for your suggestion, I understand. I will do it this way, good luck and look forward to the coming together. I also think it is unique.

How old is the hen? The older the hen the more chance of egg bound and loosing her completely.
December 10, 200816 yr Author I do not know how old it is. I bought from the market, but I think it should be in the 2-year-old to 3 years old. Not long ago, at least it still lay eggs, I guess it could be.
December 10, 200816 yr When you say it gave birth to a breeding albino hen what do you mean? Is the albino breeding now?
