okay... so what is the genetic difference between pet type and English type budgies? wouldn't they be virtually the same? If I bred ino to ino it would get smaller and smaller and kept breeding ino to ino my English type ino's would eventually become a pet type budgie?? doesn't that get rid of the whole English 'breed'?

No. English budgies are more than just size. They also have longer feather, are more buff and longer masks and bigger crowns etc etc.

English budgies have genes that go towards those factors more so than pet budgies.
