Disposal Of Rats

Featured Replies

wheres the new thread???? C'mon KAZ just cos its 8 at night??? Don't you guys have daylight savings now??? ;)

we wait with baited breath... in the mean time I suppose we should get back on topic ;)

I've just got this whole image of Kaz and Ken dressed up in SWAT gear and throwing the CO2 Canisters into the roof with gas masks on and then after the smoke starts firing automatic rifles for 10 minutes all over the roof...

Now THAT sounds like a barrel load of fun!!

Id go with the concrete mixed into icingsugar / flour trick or throw a heap of traps up there. (make sure there is a dish of water if you go the concrete way)

The ferrets could work or else I saw a huge python out the bush the other day- they're quite at home in roofs but have a tendency to move thier tastes onto cats when the rats run out!!

there is an expanding foam available , i think its called space invader (or something like that) its fantastic for plugging up gaps as it flows and expands into every crevice and cab be used for quitelarge gaps . i expect though it might take the rats a few days to starve to death or suffocate though ! and then i dont envy you having to remove them either

Thankyou for the suggestion, but the expanding foam is easily eaten through or pushed through by rodents.

If you use the expand-a-foam push steel wool into them for added strength

Dave is looking to see if there is a fiber glass expand-a-foam

We got rid of our whole mouse infestation using those grey mouse traps. We caught over 20 mice ;) . They are really effective.

These are rats not mice. Dogs get a few, but they are breeding in the ceiling of my workshop so we need another kind of solution.
