.. eating celery leaves! Yay:) I've only been offering it to them for a couple days. I put a tiny amount of seed in a food bowl to make it interesting, then cut up a celery leaf and mixed it all together, and now they are sitting there picking out the pieces of leaf and ignoring the seeds! And not only are they eating it, they are fighting over the pieces!

Yep, they LURVE it! Not too much though, don't want any runny tummies

That's awesome. Next try them on some dandelion leaves, mine love dandelion.

It was funny, the male would grab a piece and sit there chewing it happily, then the female came over and grabbed it from his beak and they would have a tug of war over it

 

I don't remember ever seeing dandelion around here, but will keep my eyes open:)

Great stuff. Maybe peas and corn are a good next step? I know mine love them. I have them in the freezer and pour some hot water over them to thaw out. You could try mixing some of them with some seed (only a little at a time as if they don't eat it, you'll have to throw it out) Mine seem to love picking them out of their veggie mix, playing with them and 'de-husking' each one

kale is also another good choice that is similar in texture to celery leaves

That's great that they are enjoying their veggies. My budgies goes crazy over parsley leaves.
