What Me And My Brats Have Been Up To

So every year my budgies and I do the great migration north to my home town once the university year is over. Unfortunately I can't take their huge aviary up with them, so the poor little fellas have to live in smaller cages over the summer. I couldn't take up their awesome gym either so I had to fashion a new one out of eucalyptus branches (which while sitting on the deck constructing it, I could hear a kookaburra laughing away, I tried to find him, but he was too well camoflaged).

It was very hard trying to figure out who to put in what cages. I have 3 smaller cages so I have 4 in each of the two larger cages and 2 in the smaller cage.

Today I took them out for a play. All of the outside budgies are completely moulting, whereas all the budgies that were inside budgies have already done their moult, so they look prettier, but don't tell them that. I also let out my mum's canaries for a play too (I think they were just baffled).

So pictures:

Remember Saffy's baby that she had last year. The controversial one:

Alo. I played around with this picture quite a bit, tried to achieve something a little more artistic.

More smoochies

It appears I have exceeded picture limit, I'll post them in the next post.

As soon as someone replies I can put the next lot up.

Butters, Alo and up the back; Cereal. Butters and Cereal are my brother's birds that I gave to him. He has since moved out to where he can't have pets, so I will be taking these guys back.

So there are all my babies and more after the big move. That's what I love about budgies they always manage to stay happy and chirpy no matter what is happening around them.

They sang the entire time we travelled, which was a 7 hour car journey.

He he thanks Libby. She sure is a sweety!
