question do plum eyes ever get an iris ring

and if so can it still be a doubble factor spangle ?

if pure white or does that make it a lutino?

and if a yf white bird is 8 months old with plum not red eyes and does not have iris ring is she a albeno (cremeno)

or a spangle yf

A DF spangles eyes will darken to black as they age so it's probably an ino.

 

Yes a DF spangle will get iris rings UNLESS it's a DF spangle masking recessive pied

 

It's only a lutino/albino if it has red eyes

However a DF spangle could have plum eyes if it was masking cinnamon or recessive pied.

I have a cinnamon bird with iris rings, so yes plum eyes do get iris rings. All eyes do apart from recessive pied.

Your bird is probably a yf DF spangle. Post a picture

its not tf doble although i have that

its white and its eyes were black for three months now their dark pink with iris ring will post picture sopon as i can get a good one k

The Iris - this is a muscularly operated diaphragm which controls the amount of light entering the eye. It is coloured and it is this that gives the eye its colour. At the centre of the iris is the variable hole through which the light actually passes on its way into the eye, this is called the pupil.

 

So when the iris is not visible (or people say there is no iris ring) it means that the iris ring and the pupil are the same color so you can't see where the iris ring is in the eye.

Yeah in birds with "no iris ring", their iris is just a dark grey brown colour.

Another thing to consider, I have a DF spangle who has iritated eyes which makes them look quite red, gives them kind of a plum look...
