Posted March 25, 200520 yr budgies can register 150 images per second? Humans can only register 16 images per second. budgies have such a well developed sense of feeling that females can feel when the embryo is moving inside th egg and when the chick is getting ready to hatch. budgies can hear sounds from 400 to 20 000 Hz and can store sound sequences in their memory. well i thought this was cool ... sorry if its been mentioned somewere?
March 25, 200520 yr WOW! I never knew that, so does that mean budgies have better eyesight than us! Thanks budgie_babe
March 25, 200520 yr it dosent mean they actually have better eyesight just see things more quickly.. like a preditor coming towards them.. but they might have better eyesight also but i dont think so cause my budgies cant see each other from opposite ends of the room (Laughing out loud) (they start squaking if they can't see each other)
March 26, 200520 yr You know i read the page i think you got this from just yesterday!!! How funny!!! Very interesting facts aren't they!!!
July 30, 200520 yr I didn't know that. Thanks The cats dinner if Sparky's not careful <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Why's that Sparky?
July 30, 200520 yr Because Sparky and the cat fight for attention, one time the cat sat next to Sparky's cage to stop us talking to him but Sparky started squawking and flapping at the cat, eversince then that cat has been trying to open the cage and even once he was sitting on top of ithe cage. Lucky for us though Sparky will squawk like mad if that cat comes near him so we know when to step in. :bb:
November 26, 200519 yr Interesting (Laughing out loud) now I can understand how Jack manages to avoid Billys hammer head of death by pecking..he dances up to her with a wild eye look and the bobbing head going on plants a quick kiss on her..she hammer heads that fast and hard that at times she has fell off the perch but not once has she managed to bite him he is far to quick and this can go on for hours...Linda
November 27, 200519 yr Cool, I didn't know that! Can lovebirds and cockatiels hear well too? They always start screaming to get let out when I quietly open the front door.
