Ever since the school holidays my 13 year old son has been getting headaches which can last all day or half a day. They vary in strength, some days are worse than others. I have taken him to the doctor who said to try him on a stronger than usual dose of Panadol, (which didnt ease them at all anyway) I took him to get his eyes tested as he used to wear glasses when he was little to strengthen his left eye. Actually I took him to 2 different optometrists - one said he needs glasses, the other said he doesnt and his vision is excellent. He went back to the doctors yesterday afternoon (to a different doctor) who organised at CAT scan of his head. He went for that this morning and wont get the results for a few days. As my sister had a brain tumour I am petrified Matthew will have one too. I need you all to pray for him please! Hopefully it wont reveal anything nasty but I am so scared it will

very scary times for you Jenene But best if you can shake of the fears and wait for the results. Hard I know due to whats going through your head about your sister.

I would guess your son has fears of his own and maybe not showing it as much...time for some good loving and bonding moments

I used to get migraines when I was a kid too Jenene. They put me on a course of Epilim as a trial and it sorted it out, I don't get them any more now

That's scary! I am certainly thinking of you. My husband went through the same experience when he was twelve years old... initially told to get his eyes checked, then diagnosed with migraines, then finally sent for scans as a last resort! I have never been able to imagine the anxiety his parents must have experienced at the time. Needless to say, it was a character-building experience for them all... and he's all fine now, 16 years later!

I have great news, the results came back this afternoon and Matt's scan was "perfectly normal " !! :yes: all for your prayers and best wishes, I know they helped!!
