I am wonder if you can get perches that you can maybe attach to the walls or hang from the ceilings - I dont really have a lot of high spaces to for Candy to perch on and I havent seen anything like what I am looking for in the pet stores. Any ideas what I could use?

Hi

You could go to a junk shop and find an old hat stand or you could make one your self

Just go to the hardware shop and purchase a broom handle 2 hooks to screw into the roof and a wire coat hanger

Just drill a hole each end of the broom handle and thread the wire and bobs your uncle

Well I hope this helps and all the best

Hey thanks - Ive purchased a few things on EBay to get me started will let you know what I come up with!

i just got one of those java tree (you can get manzanita too) branches you can get from large chain pet stores that have a srew on the end to attatch it to the cage bars. i just took the screw bit off and drilled a hole in my bedroom wall and mounted it on their instead  it is very good for their feet and it looks very nice up on the wall too! :)

Ooooh thanks there is a new store just opened near me and Ive not been in yet so hopefully they will have something similar.

:(Laughing out loud):

Hey that sounds great

Where I live I just go out the back and cut a branch of a gum tree move over you cuddly koala

I was sitting out the back today watching the native parrots flying around it been raining here and they just love the wet

We have been thru a drought lately and have water restrictions so I just love the rain.

But yea just go and buy a branch and attach it to the wall better than having a broom stick and witch attach hanging off the wall

Only joking

Wow your lucky to have them readily available we dont really have many trees where I livve but am hoping the new pet store might have what Im looking for - whatever I get must beat sitting on the curtain rails.

Wish we had native parrots!

If you could see what they do to the clothes on washing day you wouldn?t

There's a big gum tree hanging over out washing line in the back yard. I get scared of the magpies that like to hang out in it. They give me scary looks!!!

I've cut down all the low branches from the gum tree! ;) So my budgies only get a branch on the rare occasion i can reach one!!! :)

i have attacted a couple of wooded clothes pegs, to the outside of his cage he loves to nibble of the aswell. they also are flatter then the ones inside his cage so help to prevent bumble foot.
