Roxy just dropped dead and I don't know why!!! I am worried about Jack cause he was in the same cage as her (i put them down in a breeding cage about 3 days ago) is there anything I should do? I changed all the food and water dishes and washed the cage, do I just watch him closely and see what happens?????

I am so sorry Hens have a habit of doing things like this in breeder cages. Any signs of stress in Roxy ?

none that i noticed, but blast and damn, I am in a bit of a pinic now cause when I went to get Jack out of the cage he broke a blood feather so now I am sitting here with him in my lap trying to stop the bleeding

You have to remove the rest of the feather shaft and white pepper stops bleeding.

okay one feather pulled, bleeding stopped and Jack is resting in a nice warm cage Thankyou all, if it wasn't for all you guys willing to help as much as possible and giving great advice I would still be running around in a panic with Jack bleeding to death

I still don't understand what happened to Roxy but am hoping it is nothing serious and just one of those things like you said Kaz

I am really sorry she is gone but I hope she is resting in peace
