I know aerosols and plug ins are out of the question but are there any I can use which wont harm my babies?

I dont believe any bought ones are safe! You could try making your own oil burner solutions tho, perhaps with fresh ginger, grated lemon and orange rind? Boil them up and bottle the liquid and put some in your burner.

I have heard that one of the most potentially harmful fresheners is Fabreze.

some shops sell naturel fruit oils that u can dab on hanky and leave in a draw/cuboard.

i dont use any, i just open the window mostly to let some fresh air in! i only use aerosols when the birds are put into their sleeping room, so they dont breathe any of it

Well i know which ones not to use well the worst of all is febreeze!!!!!!!!!!
