Posted September 7, 200816 yr I built this yesterday for my doggies as our new 'puppy' is now verging on 14kg (at only just over 4 months old!) and they don't fit in their kennel together anymore. To buy one this size was going to cost me over $400 for a plain timber one, I made this one for less than $150 including buying a cheap jigsaw and a pair of tin snips and the paint. It's not quite finished yet, there is a decorative door frame and a decorative border for the front of the roof line to go on and a perspex window to go in the side, a job for next weekend It's 1.2metres(including verandah) by .95 metres so plenty big enough for them to curl up in together.
September 7, 200816 yr Author Thanks Deb The dogs seem happy, I called them inside before when we got home and they both looked out the door and then lay back down and went back to sleep
September 7, 200816 yr I was looking at your flowers in the pot wondering how long before the puppy pulls it to pieces.
September 7, 200816 yr Author That pot has been sitting about where the kennel is for two weeks now. She hasn't touched a single pot plant since she arrived, we've been pretty strict with her but she seems to be quite well behaved to start with so I think we are lucky. I'm planning a little timber planter box for that corner so that plant is the crash test dummy Edited September 7, 200816 yr by melbournebudgies

September 8, 200816 yr Hi MB, Fantastic job on the dog kennel, and what a cutie! Is your other dog the same breed? And whilst asking about the breed what exactly is she? Dutch hound? Edited September 8, 200816 yr by maesie Changed QT to cutie. This is not an acceptable shortcut! Also added punctuation.
