Posted September 5, 200816 yr So I finally found my camera that has Macro setting and thought I would do a picture post Jean Head Case Jelly Bean Butter aka Butt Boy Jean and Butter (for size difference) So Kaz you going to take a shot at the sex of my guys? Also any idea what colours they will be. Mum & Dad
September 5, 200816 yr Author Awww They look VERY well fed! I know I could not have asked for a better pair to breed with first time. Mum looks a so worn out i can't wait till the fledge cause she is going to need the break!
September 5, 200816 yr They're very cute. I have so many of them at that age but it's always nice to see other people's bundle of joy. Nice names, and the parents are such a colourful pair; a lutino with a dominant pied. You couldn't of asked for a more colourful pairing. lol regards Joel Edited September 5, 200816 yr by Dave_McMinn Spelling, why else?
September 5, 200816 yr Hey hey Looking good Nice names too hahahah No i will have a stab at your out comes you will have /luts cocks and dom pieds hens:D :D lets see how i go Edited September 5, 200816 yr by Neat
September 5, 200816 yr Jean is a pied, the others all look quite pale so they may all be pieds, can you se dark pin feathers coming throughon their bums and a dark sheen on their skin(like on Jean's head) or is it very pink with pale white/yellow pin feathers? September 5, 200816 yr I LOVE the way Jean has her(?) arm around her little brother!!! SO CUTE!!! I love baby budgies!! I wish I had the room, the facilities and the time to breed them. I dont. but watching the babies on this forum hatch and grow is the next best thing!! Thanks for posting those photos.. they are wonderful, i cant wait to see them when they begin to feather up!
September 5, 200816 yr Your Dom pied looks to be a double factor dominant pied to me, I may be wrong, as Kaz has so elegantly demonstrated with her pied quiz, but if he/she is a dominant pied, then all the offspring will be single factor pieds, with the boys split lutino.
September 13, 200816 yr Hey AV I dont know how I missed this, they are looking soooooooooo cute!!!! I am glad to see that head case is doing well!
September 13, 200816 yr Cute- they will all be dom pieds in green and maybe blue. young will be split blue, cocks split lute also Looking forward to seeing them feather

September 13, 200816 yr 1 skyblue opaline dom pied- (hen?) 2 blue series (!) dom pied (opaline I think hen) 3 green opaline (hen?) 4 green normal ( wings look light- cinny? maybe it'll darken up when they come through a bit more) (based on the cock being split opaline and the hen not showing it. Just my guess- not 100% sure!! Are they in the aviary because you shouldnt have got normals? - he is double factor isnt he? Maybe a light marked Sf. Edited September 13, 200816 yr by the pie

Nope they are cabinet breed so have no clue where the normal came from and yes the father is a double factor. All hens are you kiding me? argh well only one wants a cock and if i have all hens then i will have to give him one out of another clutch! Thanks for that
September 13, 200816 yr Author *bangs head against desk* yeah that would be right the only one that does not matter if it is a hen and he will turn out to be a cock! Edited September 13, 200816 yr by Elly
September 14, 200816 yr hey, just curious, do babies get into pain when their feathers start coming in?, because it looks pretty painful!
