September 3, 200816 yr Does anybody now what the white of the poop is . Just noticed my bird's poop has more of a white content than usual . That's the urine part, no??? http://www.birds-online.de/gesundheit/gesa...katorkot_en.htm Found that website... they show poop examples.
September 3, 200816 yr Yes it is the urine part. Increased urine could mean kidney issues. Can you post some pictures? Is there any other changes in color or shape? How long has it been going on?
September 3, 200816 yr Author Noticed it for about 1 week now , no change really in shape just seems to be more white and a more vivid white , the other part is a green but she loves her spinach . Gota love talking about Poo !
September 3, 200816 yr it sounds normal, as long as it is firm and not sloopy and the green is dark and not a bright bright green.
September 4, 200816 yr glad i could make you all smile ... There could be many reasons for it being the way you say it is - If you can post a picture, It would be alot better to say then to go by your discription I do agree with Elly 100% if it is solid there isn't really a problem ( I COULD BR WRONG AS I AM NOT A VET :hap: ) Green is fine as long as it isn't a PEA or a LIME green
September 4, 200816 yr Green is fine as long as it isn't a PEA or a LIME green Just a note on the lime green about four of my birds got lime green poop and I was all freaking out but then a breeder told me that apple cider vinger does that to them, took them off for a few days back to normal, put them back on it lime green again. There is alot to be said for the limits diet. Take a bird back to fresh water and standard seed then slowley add things in every two to three days to see what is effecting them. Birds can have allergies to. Picture would be a great help.
September 4, 200816 yr Av - I didn't know that with the ACV .... - I am thinking that it is because it is like a detox???/ Added to my notes But yes think of it this if we drink lots of green cordial our poo turns green - if we eat spaghetti Bog it changes colour too ... The main thing with Poo ( see i still love this topic hahahah ) is the density of it - :hap: ( LOL how many of you are going to test that ) Edited September 4, 200816 yr by Neat
September 4, 200816 yr Av - I didn't know that - I am thinking that it is because it is like a detox???/Added to my notes Biggest freak out for me all my cocks who are in holding cages stacked ontop of each other all did it within a day of each other. Went into total panic mode
September 10, 200816 yr Author okay here's a picture of my bird poop , it's been changing a bit of late and now to a grey & white , I have introduced a new diet organic crumble that the vet got for me into her diet but she's only eating a very minimal amount as she still eats mostly seed . Does it look okay ?
September 10, 200816 yr That poop looks diet related - not illness related Whenever you change their foods their poops will change too.
September 11, 200816 yr I would not be overaly worried about this. If she is eating and drinking just keep an eye on it and note any changes.
September 11, 200816 yr this topic is running parallel with his other topic...too I am thinking that she may be in breeding condition per the Budgie Mood topic...
