I forget most of what little I learned but is this guy a spangle or something else as well? I mean there's a blue splotch on the back of his head, would that mean pied as well or am I reaching?

Looks 100% spangle to me... spangles tend to get colour around the head too

yes sky blue spangle.. spangles have the spot on the head as well.

yep he's a ski blue spangle alright, the blue on the back of he's head is a fult but a common one.
