Posted August 26, 200816 yr Neat prompted this little off topic chatter about GIRLS WITH TOOLS. My husband often comments to anyone he meets that when we met I had more tools than he did ( he was right too ) I love working with tools. Apart from my usual leadlight tools, I like working with wood. My favourite tools are my router, my bench saw, my drop saw and cordless drill. :hap:

August 27, 200816 yr Author is this boad rated PG or G? I want to know before I respond on here!!! You're one of us Dave...what do you have to add to the topic
August 27, 200816 yr Dave by what I have read,I think you are only a young bloke. Perhaps still at school.I would'nt get to involved, with these lady's hammer & drills.

Not sure whether I should be thankful or not here Macka. See you are both right and wrong. I am a young guy - but not too young, and I am still at school, but my capacity/role has changed. I am a 33 year old high school teacher Macka, so I am not sure if I should thank you for recognising my youthful nature and exhuberance, or be annoyed that you think i am immature and childish - LOL!!!!

August 27, 200816 yr I suppose that is the difference between being young ............. and wishing we are young!!!
August 28, 200816 yr Don't worry Dave, my mind went there too! I'm a 31 year old dental surgeon, pretty handy with all kinds of tools. Obviously I like drills, pliers, hammers, chisels, spanners, screwdrivers, all sorts really. My ex-husband once remarked with surprise (because of my gender) when I was filling in a hole in the wall with plaster, sanding it back and painting it, "Hey, that's a pretty good job it looks just like new!", I said, "Well yes, it would want to be, since I am doing it in full lighting, in a dry environment, on a large scale, instead of some tiny little cavity in the dark, spit soaked cavern of someone's mouth!"

August 30, 200816 yr I am wicked with a drill, flash a mean exacto knife, produce steam with a wood-burning awl, am grreat with grommets, and swipe a mean putty knife. I'd llove to get my hands on a circular saw. I cut a mean lawn, too, if we branch out into the yard....
