Posted August 7, 200816 yr okay well i don't but Flame does and so does Storm! I am so excited, Flame seems very cuddly. For those who don't know I put Flame and Blue down to breed these guys are my semi tame Budgies they come get Cuddles when I go out to the avairy but only on their terms. Flame also almost died after Nell my dog tried to eat her and then had blood nose issues so she has been through alot in her short little life. I did take her down to the vet and got a full check before putting her in the breeding cage as she has "allergies" which causes the blood noses so wanted to make sure she is in top condition. I go to clean the cage or change the water and both of them jump on my hands for a stratch and a cuddle, while giving flame a cuddle I noticed the egg bum! I am so excited! I then checked Storm and she to has egg bum so excited as Harley seems to be doing his thing! She also seems more settled and not as flighty so hopefully she will not smash the eggs this time around.
August 7, 200816 yr When I first saw the title I thought "Too much information!" lol. I just questioning your want to breed a bird that has allergies. Hey I know where you are coming from, I bred my pet birds and they weren't the best examples (including my funny runner/possible french moult thing, that later died of tumour :S, I won't be breeding from either her or Arkady's babies and if I did I would be careful), I wanted to see THEIR babies, cause they special. lol But now I look at some of them and think they aren't the best specimens lol. (half of them are fat and pretty much all of them had a parent with a tumour :S, although that may not be genetic ). But it is definitely special watching your baby cuddle monster raising a family of their own.
August 7, 200816 yr Lol- I had visions of you waddling about too!! Look forward to hearing more in the next few days. I put a pair together a few days ago (less than a week) and have an egg already big surprise.

Her Allergies are caused due to her being feed the wrong diet as a young chick and also she is alleric to the glue they use to stick honey sticks together. A change in diet and making sure she stays clear of certain foods and she is a happy healthy little girl. Neat... none that I could see today. Flame was sitting in the nest box today when I went to wake them up so I did not disturd her will check again tonight. Edited August 8, 200816 yr by Angelic Vampyre
August 8, 200816 yr I hate the waiting! Me too!!! Then, once they're laid you have to wait for them to hatch, then to survive, then to feather up, then to figure out if they are male or female, then to fledge... SO MUCH WAITING! Good luck

August 8, 200816 yr Author Opps caught her in the act! Went to put them to sleep and thought I would check on them opened the box a tiny bit to peck in and got sight of an egg half way out! I think i am just going to leave her to it and only check if she comes out of the box so not to distrupt her to much. on another note they two guys in the old fashion boxes are laying eggs the others are not so intrested in my new fangled plastic boxes... hmmm may have to re think this a bit!
August 9, 200816 yr Author she now has three, two that are hers and one that is a foster out to her, funny thing is the foster one is about twice the size of her two as it is from a show type and she is a pet type never knew there was such a difference in size.
August 9, 200816 yr Hi AV, Congratulations on having 3 eggs, my 3 chicks seem to be going well I wish I could say the same for my new breeding room.
