Posted July 31, 200816 yr Hey I made a post about building a cage out a dresser, but instead Me and my father went out and bought Mesh and a Plastic gardening tray and Non-treated ply wood. And today we worked out how we are going to build it and the measurements came to 3 foot long 2 foot wide 2 foot high 6 inches deep Are these okay to house two budgies, and maybe a breeding box for future bubs Hope this helps Edited August 1, 200816 yr by KAZ

July 31, 200816 yr You could breed a pair happily in there, but if you are going to use it as their full time home, Id say around 6 birds tops.

August 5, 200816 yr Your cage bars are fine, If your wire is about the same width, then it will be fine too
August 5, 200816 yr Author Kay thanks Liv how bigs would I need to cut the hole to put the nest box on?
August 5, 200816 yr Hey Jodie...since your box is going to be so large, you may want to make your access door larger so you can reach in better and you may have to use a small net to catch birds so it would need to be a bit bigger for the access door. Everything looking wonderful. You are being very creative. Cant wait to see the end result.

August 5, 200816 yr Depends.....two in the wire front if you can work it out. In the back wood if it isnt against a wall later on or just bigger ones each end of the box setup.
