I loved to know if it's a him or her too LOL -

okay so Here is a story for you all hope you are ready it's a long, really long one - LOL -

Nar I went to get some more feed and it just stuck out like teats on a bull - so to speak :)

It was amoungst green ones and I had to have it,

I have been wanting one for soooo long, and well I got him/ her from my local breeder.

Lori, felt the bones but as it is young still have 50% chance of either sex mut leaning towards male ....

Now to read up on them I know a few members here have some lovebirds care to lend me some advice LOL, so far I am treating him ( still yet to pick a unisex name) a Bigger budgie :P only new so she is in my p.c room with a radio on so that no nastys if any gets to mac :D

SNOOKY ! What a cutie Neat ... I will look forwards to pics & updates on the Snookster. Looks like you are going to have some New fun on your hands.

Nice one Neat- I have a heap like that. Yep just treat it like a big budgie.Same greens and softfood; slightly different mix of seed although mine like the budgie mix :fear

Will it be a tame bird or aviary?

I am going to try and tame it HOW EVER - The size of it's beak freaks me out!!! *ouch

I'm guessing from the chatter that it's a lovebird, but the picture wont download for me, I tried everything no luck. Like others have said if it's a Lovebird feed just as per a Budgie. If it's very young it should tame down very quick I have had them if kept by themselves, finger tame in a couple of days, one was real nice & tame, but the other one a female I suspect, as they are very hard to sex, wasn't afraid but you couldn't call it tame all it wanted to do was bite my hand…as you say beware the beak pretty powerful & more aggressive than a Budgie.

Now that I posted the picture is showing up, it’s a Blue Mask Lovebird. Sex your guess is as good as mine. If you have some birds together the biggest & most aggressive are the females, but with just one bird, even though I’ve had them for more than 10 years I wouldn’t have a clue. DNA test is only sure way.

Thanks heaps norm, I am not sure how old it is thought, and it just goes skitzo when you put your hand in the cage 0 I am doing that everyday for 10 mins - It's poos are green so I am giving it is Quarratine treament like a budgie LOL, I hope that is fine as i can't find any helpful info on the net. It is all about breeding them Grrrr I just want to tame it and for it to actually be happy -

Any info Norm I would be more then grateful :D
