I always make sure Smokey has fresh gumleaves and little leafy branches to climb and nibble on. I have noticed though, that he munches on them a lot more when they are a day or two old and have started to dry out and go crunchy... do anyone else's budgies do this? I have taken to giving them a little spray of water every now and again so he gets a bit of water from them as well but he shuffles through them til he finds the dry ones.

LOL, The only one that perfers them Crunchy is Mac, i noticed this too the other day ... He got fresh leaves and I have a bottle attached to the out side of his cage so they stay fresher longer, But he went for the dryer ones on the branches LOL, Fussy eater

Flame is like this she ignores the fresh branches and then goes nuts on them when they dry out. Guess it comes down to personal taste
