Posted July 23, 200816 yr Hey all I noticed that a few overseas members are not able to locate Gum Nuts & Eucalyptus Branches I have found a website that is able to ship over seas CLICK HERE I am going to find out how much it is for us Auzzies ?
July 23, 200816 yr What an interesting concept... online eucalyp things... great idea for overseas bird owners! I recon between us aussies, we could all go for a wander in our back yards/local parks, gather up some sticks, leaves, nuts etc, and get creative... looks like we could make a bit of money out of it! I make all of Smokeys toys, playgym (and extensions!) and perches etc out of gum branches... because I am too much of a tight a** to pay the prices pet stores etc claim for such things!
July 23, 200816 yr Are you sure they're able to do it legit? In customs they'd have some major problems i'd imagine... I saw them jump down a mans neck with jail temr threats over gum leaves before :S

I saw them jump down a mans neck with jail temr threats over gum leaves before :S That was one of my initial thoughts too. I know they are really strict on bringing stuff in at our end, but maybe they're not so tight about what leaves the country? It depends on the quarantine rules etc at the receiving end, I guess. I know that plant matter brought into Aust needs to be treated (my host family in Poland innocently mailed a dried flower arrangement to us... it was going to cost $100 or so to have it treated!) and I'd be worried about the treatment process in terms of my budgie eating the treated product...
July 23, 200816 yr Author It states on their website that the buyer must organise with their country's Customs policy and quaratine regulations
