I have recently been putting my budgie Baby in Chi Chi's cage for the past few weeks and have taken some pictures.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Baby and Chi Chi get along really well in the same cage, and are both pretty tame now. I don't know wether to keep Baby in the same cage as Chi Chi or to put him back into the aviary with the other birds. They seem to keep eachother company.

In saying that I don't have teils anymore

It really advised not to house tiels and budgies together once the tiel get older he could get hormonal and the damange he could do to a budgie or even back could be bad, animals don't think right during the hormonal stage. As for letting them continue to be friends many members on this forum have their tiels and budgies interact out of the cage.

 

There are some that have a mix of budgie and tiels in an aviary but they are very large with enough space not a smaller type cage.

Thanks for replying . I wont house them together, I feel cruel taking Baby out of the aviary and the other budgies anyway.

I have 2 inside tiels with 3 inside budgie, there are your regular minor disagreements about who sits where etc, but other than that they get along fine

 

In the aviary i have 6 more tiels to about 35 budgies and there are no dramas at all - i even see the budgies preening the tiels

 

If you think they get along and you want them inside, i'd say do it
