and her green boy

The first introduction the hen didnt want to know him. She got all huffy and indignant about it and kepting walking away, pacing and trying to jailbreak. So I kept removing the cock bird for half a day at a time and then putting him back. Within a couple of days of removing him and putting him back, she greeted him on his return like the long lost love of her life. That was three days ago and today she is in the nestbox making it "just right".

I have my fingers crossed for some nice chicks.

:D

Hey Kaz

I cant wait to see what these 2 produce - i have a pair with exactly the same colourings - though she laid 2 eggs last year, both were infertile and so far she hasnt come back into breeding condition (i seriously think she is too busy eating to do anything else!)

Best of luck! :)

Well...it took 3 days to change her mind....if I have any others giving me trouble I will try your way :)

The cock bird is a Gary Armstrong bird ( W.A. )

The hen is a Jan Mc Mahon bird with Cec Gearing and Chidel bloodlines.

Two eggs. When the hen comes out to eat, Dad goes in and incubates the eggs for her :D
