Posted July 18, 200816 yr I know the color is violet, just not certain if this chick is dilute or clearwing or what?
July 18, 200816 yr Author But the parents are not greywing, the Mom is normal violet and the Dad is a red eye lacewing???
July 18, 200816 yr Greywing is a recessive gene, meaning that the parents would have been carrying it but not showing it. Could it possibly be a cinnamon? Edited July 18, 200816 yr by Sailorwolf
July 18, 200816 yr Hey mate Yes violet greywing cock! And beautiful I have one too and neither parents were greywings so they must be / "split" from it
July 18, 200816 yr Could it possibly be a cinnamon?Time for a monitor adjustment Hey mateYes violet greywing cock! :wub:And beautiful I have one too and neither parents were greywings so they must be / "split" from it Agree with Neat
July 18, 200816 yr I was asking, because some photos convey colours really badly, more grey than colour and if dad is a lacewing and that chick is a hen then it will be a cinnamon. Edited July 18, 200816 yr by Sailorwolf
July 18, 200816 yr Lacewing doesnt seem to work like that with cinnamon. I have a split lacewing cock and even with his lacewing hen I only ever got real lacewings or normals...never cinnamons. There is often debate about lacewings and cinnamon inos...an interesting topic. BUT in this case the chick clearly shows grey and not cinnamon. Edited July 18, 200816 yr by KAZ
