Posted June 24, 200817 yr Heya, just wanted to confirm if this is fact or fiction .. if a budgie is suffering from partial paralysis as in draging a foot or wing dropping the use of heat lamps are more harmful then helpful????
June 24, 200817 yr What is the reason for the paralysis? I had a budgie with kidney tumors, he eventually lost the use of his right leg due to the tumor putting pressure on a nerve. A heat lamp would not have helped him recover, but he could regulate his body temperature fine so the use of one was never brought up. Does the bird have trouble regulating his body temperature?
June 24, 200817 yr Author Sorry INFARED (sp) heat lamp .... It is in a book i am reading ...and NO i tossed that OLD one out lol I have no probs with my birds :D :D
June 24, 200817 yr Infrared radiation is produced form all things that make heat. I'm currently emitting infrared. Woot! Do infrared lamps just make more infrared or something
