Heya, just wanted to confirm if this is fact or fiction ..

 

if a budgie is suffering from partial paralysis as in draging a foot or wing dropping the use of heat lamps

are more harmful then helpful????

I'm not sure, I've had two birds have this, both live in the aviary fine

I don't know how a heatlamp could be harmful

What is the reason for the paralysis? I had a budgie with kidney tumors, he eventually lost the use of his right leg due to the tumor putting pressure on a nerve. A heat lamp would not have helped him recover, but he could regulate his body temperature fine so the use of one was never brought up. Does the bird have trouble regulating his body temperature?

Infrared radiation is produced form all things that make heat. I'm currently emitting infrared. Woot!

Do infrared lamps just make more infrared or something
